FAFIDESS is a private, non-profit, secular development organization, without political or governmental ties, established in March 1986.

Fafidess is a Microfinance institution that contributes to the economic and social development of the micro and small business sector, through the provision of sustainable financial services and products and business development services, aimed especially at women in rural Guatemala, with the aim of in order to improve their level and quality of life.
